Disney+ Korea has unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming original K-drama series, Grid.
Starring Seo Kang-joon (Are You Human?), Kim Ah-joong, Kim Mu-yul (Space Sweepers), Lee Si-young (Sweet Home) and more, Grid revolves around police investigations of supernatural entities (played by Lee) who appeared in 1997 to save humanity. The entity reappears 24 years later, only to help a serial killer (Kim Sung-kyun) escape.
“We didn’t look for him, we made him come looking for us,” said Seo, who plays police officer Kim Sae-ha at the beginning of the clip. Then, detectives Jung Sae-byeok (Kim Ah-joong) and Song Eo-jin (Kim Mu-yul) are seen chasing the entity, who easily evades them by disappearing into the air.
Grid is one of seven new Korean original titles that Disney+ previously announced as part of its expansion into Asia-Pacific content. Among them are Snowdrop, which is currently airing, starring BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and Jung Hae-in and Rookie Cops, starring singer Kang Daniel.
Grid Release Date Announced
The Grid will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on February 16, 2022. The series is created by director Khan Lee ( The Divine Move 2: The Wrathful ) and the critically acclaimed screenwriter Lee Soo-yeon, known for her work on the crime thriller series Stranger and its sequel Stranger 2.
