As far as season 2 is concerned, here’s what we know. Until now, there has been no announcement regarding the return of this heartwarming documentary series. However, the show’s premiere season has been received quite well by viewers. Hailed as a first of its kind, the show’s depiction of the lives of people with autism and how it affects those around them is spot on. Viewers and critics across the board have praised it for providing an accurate representation and demonstrating that being diagnosed with autism is not the end of the world.
Geege stated that as a new parent, she had used every medium that included characters on the autism spectrum. She finds these depictions lacking because they tend to only portray the darker parts and miss the joy that comes with raising a child, no matter the unexpected obstacles. Given the excellent handling of such an important and delicate subject and the praise the show constantly garners, we sincerely hope that the series will return with more adventures in the life of the Taylor family. If and when that happens, we expect ‘Leave It to Geege’ season 2 to be released in Q1 2023.

The second season of the Lifetime documentary is sure to feature Taylor’s family and their friends. This includes Geege Taylor, matriarch of the family. Geege is a twice divorced single mother who is also a breast cancer survivor. Geege’s son Pootie Taylor—who lives with autism, and daughter Harper Taylor will also return if the show is renewed for its next season. Another hopeful presence in a potential season 2 might be Tyler-Curtis Elliott, Pootie’s nanny and friend of Geege.
Geege’s mother Puddin is significant persom in this wonderful family, and we look forward to seeing more of her, along with Geege’s niece Mary Frances Jones, if another season comes. The first season showcased the development of the bond between Pootie and Geege’s boyfriend, Mark George, and it would be awesome to see the sequel. No show is complete without friends and ‘Leave it to Geege’ is the same; therefore, we look forward to seeing Cree West and Nicky Stanley, who are also on the spectrum. Of course, any happy additions to this beloved family series would be most welcome!
Leave It to Geege Season 2: Expected Plot
At the end of ‘Leave It To Geege,’ Tyler receives news of his autism evaluation, but he decides to keep it to himself. Given the range of the autism spectrum, some people who have autism may go about their lives without realizing it. However, a diagnosis or confirmation does change the way a person views their life and those around them even though they remain the same person they were before the diagnosis.
Tyler’s consciousness might show viewers how self-acceptance works when it comes to such news. In the final moments, we see Geege head to Atlanta, where she aims to meet with two congressmen and talk about laws and policies that affect people on the spectrum, including her son Pootie. We wish her all the best in her efforts to make the world a better place and look forward to seeing the results of it if a second season does come.
