Tom Holland will potray multiple personality disorder in a new seasonal anthology series for Apple TV+The Crowded Room.
The Spider-Man star will play Billy Milligan, the first person to be acquitted of a crime for multiple personality disorder, now known as dissociative identity disorder, in The Crowded Room.
The 10-part series comes from Akiva Goldsman of A Beautiful Mind, who will write and serve as the executive producer. It will be produced by Birdman, who is the producer 12 Years a Slave New Regency and has earned more into television series like Jared Harris’ The Beast Must Die, and Apple Studios. Holland will star throughout the first season.
Holland will also be the executive producer with Goldsman, who will be the executive producre through his Weed Road Productions company. The series will also be produced by Alexandra Milchan for EMJAG Productions and Arnon Milchan of New Regency, Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer.

“The Crowded Room” is a gripping anthology series that will explore the true and inspirational stories of those who have struggled and learned to successfully live with mental illness. The first season of the 10-episode anthology is a captivating thriller was inspired by the award-winning biography “The Minds of Billy Milligan” by Daniel Keyes. It tells the story of Billy Milligan (Holland), the first person to be acquitted of a crime due to multiple personality disorder (now known as dissociative identity disorder).
This will be Holland’s first TV role since the 2015 miniseries Wolf Hall, in which he played Gregory Cromwell. His upcoming projects include the Uncharted films and Sony-Marvel’s third co-production Spider-Man, Spider-Man: No Way Home in which Holland appears as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.This is Holland’s latest project for Apple as he has recently premiered the feature film Cherry.
