This Netflix Italian original series, Devotion, a Story of Love and Desire (or in its Italian title called ‘Fidelity’) follows a young couple who are dealing with the impact of any potential betrayal. The story is based on the novel with the same title by Marco Missiroli.
Directed by Stefano Cipani and Andrea Molaioli, this TV series is planned to consist of six episodes, that will be adapted from the novel.
Written by Elisa Amorusa, Laura Colella, and Alessandro Fabbri, this TV series kind of reminds us of another Netflix’s romance TV series Behind Her Eyes, which is also dealing with betrayal between a young couple.
This upcoming TV series is produced by BiBi Film. The filming process took place in some cities, including Milan, Rimini, and Rome.
The author of the novel Devotion, a Story of Love and Desire Marco Missiroli is a finalist at the 73rd Strega Prize and winner of the Strega Prize Giovani 2019. The novel, with the title ‘Fidelity’, also managed to be the number one bestseller novel in Italy.

Luckily, fans do not have to wait too long to see the first season of Devotion, a Story of Love and Desire. It has been officially announced that this TV series will be out on the Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2022, on Netflix.
Hopefully—just like any other Netflix series—all of the episodes will be released on the premiere date, so audiences shouldn’t have to wait weekly to see the episodes, and therefore they can binge-watch it.

Devotion, a Story of Love and Desire revolves around a young couple, Carlo and Margherita, who have to face consequences since they allege each other to cheat on them.
The official synopsis stated: Between Milan and Rimini, we witness the story of Carlo (Michele Riondino) and Margherita (Lucrezia Guidone), a young couple who must face the explosive consequences of an alleged betrayal. Between seduction and reason, their relationship finds itself at a crossroads: should one be faithful to their partner or to themselves?
On January 17, 2022, Netflix has officially released the trailer of Devotion, a Story of Love and Desire on its official YouTube channel.
In the description, Netflix stated that the show is about Carlo (Michele Riondino) and Margherita (Lucrezia Guidone) are very much in love but something creeps into their relationship and leads them to doubt everything, even themselves. Will they be able to manage the consequences of their choices?
