Will there be Evil Season 3?
Yes! Evil will return to sample against good in Paramount+! The show’s co-creator Robert King tweeted out photos to indicate that production has begun on Evil season 3 of the series. It seems that the cast and crew getting ready to film an episode! Robert King will get even more freedom with Evil in its third season, as it will be the first of the series to be written exclusively for a streaming platform.

The decision of moving the show to Paramount+ has been proven success for CBS/Viacom, as it was quickly renewed after the move and, from a narrative perspective, co-creators Robert and Michelle King have noted that the shift to streaming has given the freedom to take more creative risks and include more mature content. In particular, Evil season 2 featured a largely silent episode that drew praise across the board, generally being regarded as one of the drama’s best standalone episodes so far.
Who will be in Evil Season 3?

Mike Colter as David Acosta, a priest-to-be who is sent to investigate possible demonic possessions teams up with Katja Herbers as forensic psychologist Kristen Bouchard, who is partnered with David to ensure the problem isn’t mental and the skeptical tech expert Ben Shakir as the voice of reason played by Aasif Mandvi to round up the unlikely team of detectives and exorcist.
Other supporting casts as Michael Emerson (Dr. Leland Townsend), Christine Lahti (Sheryl Luria), Peter Scolari (Bishop Thomas Marx), Ashley Edner (Abbey), and Kurt Fuller (Dr. Boggs) will return to the show too.
What’s the story for Evil Season 3?
Evil Season 2 Finale left viewers with plenty of unanswered questions. In the closing moments of the finale, a distraught Kristen seeks out the support of David. No longer just an assessor, having been ordained as a priest, Kristen confesses to David that she killed Orson LeRoux (Darren Pettie) after LeRoux repeatedly threatened to harm her children. She adds that she’s thinking of killing Leland Townsend (Michael Emerson) for doing the same.
Was the romantic kiss between David and Kristen a manipulation attempt by Kristen to nudge David in the direction of taking care of Leland while keeping her own hands clean? And what’s going on with Sheryl? Is she possessed? And how does it connect to the stories?
Other than these mysteries, expect Evil Season 3 to be more of the same procedural crime and supernatural show with the overarching plot of evil seeping into the world, the show will also continue to explore the theme of science, spiritual, and supernatural relations we have in our world.
And with the show heading to Paramount+ exclusively this time, expect no holds barred in terms of mature storyline and experimental episodes like the fan-favourite, mostly silent episodes back in Season 2.
