GOT7’s Youngjae landed his first acting role as a main lead in Love and Wish Drama. Fans are happy to see Youngjae, a member of the K-pop boy group GOT7, at various events with the members or as a solo artist. Ahgases were also aware of the fact the singer’s long-standing dream is acting and it seems that his exit from the JYP Entertainment label has helped him to reach it. After the seven members decided not to renew their contracts with JYP in 2020.
Back in June, Youngjae landed his first acting role in the Netflix Korean sitcom ‘So Not Worth It’ where he played a support role. Youngjae plays the character of Sam, the son of the president of Australia’s global tteokbokki food chain. After that, Youngjae again did his best and released his first solo album as ARS (his pseudonym) entitled ‘Color from ARS’ which was a global success. Back in November, Youngjae was confirmed to play his first leading role in Kakao‘s upcoming TV drama, ‘Love and Wish’ which is based on the webtoon of the same name. ‘Love & Wish’ is scheduled to be released as a film and short drama via domestic and overseas OTT platforms in December.

The webtoon-based K-drama, ‘Love and Wish’ will be released on December 24 every Friday and Saturday. The time for the event’s release has not yet been announced.

Love and Wish Plot
According to the show’s synopsis, this drama focuses on the story of Son Da Eun, played by 23-year-old Choi Ye Bin. Son Da-eun spends her nights dreaming of finding true love while her family suddenly moves to Seoul. She finds herself living next to a handsome high school student named Kim Seung-hyu, played by GOT7’s Choi Young-jae (Youngjae).
Seung-hyu’s character is charming and attractive and Da-eun feels that maybe he is her first true love. She soon discovers that Kim Seung-hyu is her classmate and hopes that everything she dreams of will eventually come true. With everything, she starts talking to Seung-hyu and soon learns that he has been the victim of school bullying which has left him emotionally vulnerable. The show follows the journey of these two teenagers and addresses the question: Can love conquer all? or will the demons of the past toward their fledgling romance?

In the short trailer released for the show, Son Da-eun’s character, the show’s main character, looks surprised the first time she sees her next-door neighbor, Seung-hyu, outside the school. From the start, she tends to tell him how she feels about him but has to hold back because Seung-hyu seems to be hiding a secret from her. The trailer also shows Nam Yoo-il’s character revealing a secret to Da-eun that could potentially make or break her future with Seung-hyu.
