Stranger Things Season 4: filming and release date
Since the end of Season 3, fans around the world have been eagerly awaiting the release of Season 4 of the Stranger Things series. After a special teaser was released in February 2020, production had to stop due to the coronavirus pandemic. A return date had finally been announced for September 2020. Stranger Things Season 4 is currently being filmed.
Officially, no release date is planned. Season 4 was scheduled for 2021. However, the delay in production due to COVID-19 has prompted officials to postpone the release date on Netflix (Peaky Blinders Season 6, The Last Kingdom Season 5). During the month of April 2021, Finn Wolfhard indicated that Stranger Things Season 4 should be available in 2022 if all goes well.
The Cast of Stranger Things Season 4
The series wouldn’t have been so successful without its excellent cast, so who will be the actors in Season 4 of Stranger Things? Expect to see these different actors again in this fourth installment of the series:
- Eleven which is played by Millie Bobby Brown ;
- Finn Wolfhard as Mike;
- Lucas played by Caleb McLaughlin;
- Gaten Matarazzo aka Dustin;
- Noah Schnapp as Will;
- Max aka Sadieink ;
- Steve known as Joe Keery;
- Natalia Dyer as Nancy;
- Jonathan played by Charlie Heaton;
- Robin and Joyce played by Maya Hawke and Winona Ryder respectively.
David Harbour will also return in the role of Hopper, despite a rather tragic ending in season 3 of the Netflix TV series.
Several new characters will be part of this great adventure. This is for example the case of Joel Stoffer famous for his role in the series Agents of SHIELD. You will also see Robert Englund as Victor Creel, a disturbed, frightening man imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital. Tom Wlaschiha will play Dmitri, a charming and intelligent Russian prison guard.
In Stranger Things season 4, you’ll also have Mason Dye from Teen Wolf playing a rich and alluring athlete called Jason Carver. Jamie Campbell Bower will play Peter Ballard, a caring man who works as a nursing assistant in a psychiatric hospital. Finally, British actor Joseph Quinn will be in the role of Eddie Munson, the head of the official D&D club at Hawkins High School.
