On May 6, Kentaro Miura, the famous Japanese mangaka behind the legendary Madman manga was coming out. An internationally known work that continues to be a source of inspiration for many artists. Unfortunately for fans, Madman remains an unfinished work. And although Miura’s assistant seemed to present himself as his successor, the situation seems to have changed.
A possible revival of Berserk Manga?
It has been almost three months since the death of Kentaro Miura. The Japanese publisher Young Animal Comics had spoken at his death, without commenting on a possible revival. Water has run under the bridges ever since then and fans are trying to figure out who will take over to complete this manga at 70%. After the mangaka’s death, his assistant volunteered to take up the torch. So the fate of Guts seemed to resume, although this proposal didn’t seem so rushed now.
And for good reason, pressured by impatient fans, the publisher was forced to speak out on Twitter. In a tweet in Japanese, the latter initially apologized for the lack of information about the manga. Maddened, to end with bad news: no decision has been made on the matter. “We apologize for this and the status of the Berserk sequel is undecided…. “Can we read there? “As soon as it is decided, there will be an announcement in Young Animal, be patient…. “.
You’ll understand, the manga is not necessarily out of the woods, although the option presented with Miura’s assistant finishing his work seemed ideal. Problems possibly legal, a transfer that can not be decided in a few days, or even weeks. From now on, we will have to keep an eye on the editor’s words to find out if Berserk will find an end.
