Pam and Tommy inspired from when the first pictures of Lily James as Pamela Anderson went viral on the internet, no one could believe their eyes – the Pursuit of Love star bears little resemblance to a blonde model, but the make-up department really turned the British rose into a 1990s Baywatch icon at the height of her fame.
One of the most famous couples of the decade, Anderson and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee were tabloid mainstays for their entire three-year marriage, which suffered from multiple romance scandals, sex tapes, and prisons.
It is no wonder then that the couple’s marriage scandal and sex tape are now being adapted into a drama on television in the form of the Hulu miniseries Pam & Tommy.
This eight-part Hulu drama will retell the couple’s life in the mid-1990s, exploring the theft and distribution of Pam & Tommy’s sex tapes – the first viral video – and the impact it had on their marriage.
The series will follow the couple from their 1995 marriage (after knowing each other for a week) through their honeymoon and final video release. The series will air in the UK on Disney Plus as part of the Star Streamer content hub.
judging by the new Pam & Tommy trailer, which not only gives fans a glimpse of Lily James in her transforming outfit and make-up as Anderson but also on the drama that followed after the sex tape was published, viewers are sure to love it. they are in for a treat (read more in the first and second trailers below).
The new first-look images also give fans further clues as to what to expect, the first (above) showing Pam and her then-boyfriend Tommy Lee (Sebastian Stan) trying to escape the paparazzi. Another image (below) shows Pam reading her own book in a bookstore.

Pam and Tommy Release Date
Pam & Tommy premieres on Disney Plus UK through their Star label on 2 February 2022.This is the same US release date that the show will release on the Hulu streaming service.
The first three episodes will premiere on the first day of release with the next five episodes following each week.It is confirmed that the upcoming show will be released on Star via the Disney Plus (Agent Carter Season 3) platform in early 2022.
Pam and Tommy Cast
Lily James will play the former Baywatch star. After undergoing a shocking transformation to resemble Anderson for the role, this would be the boldest appearance in her fast-growing career. James is best known for playing Cinderella in the live-action film adaptation of Kenneth Branagh’s fairy tale and most recently appeared on BBC One as the lead in The Pursuit of Love. Her other works include Downton Abbey, War & Peace and the Netflix remake of Rebecca.
Playing her husband and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee on screen will be Sebastian Stan, best known for playing Bucky Barnes in the MCU. He has also undergone a dramatic transformation to look like the heavy metal rocker who is known for his spiky jet-black hair, piercings, and tattoos. Stan also stars in Logan Lucky, The Martian and I, Tonya.
Seth Rogen will also appear in the miniseries as Rand Gauthier, the electrician who steals the couple’s sex tape. For the role, Rogen has shaved off his beard and looks almost unrecognizable in costume. Best known for his comedic roles in films such as Superbad, Pineapple Express and The Interview, Rogen has also participated in the drama genre by playing Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak in Steve Jobs.
Parks and Recreation star Nick Offerman will also appear as Uncle Miltie, a porn enthusiast who bought the couple’s videos.
Complementing the main cast is former Orange is New Black lead Taylor Schilling who will play the adult film actress and Rand’s wife, Erica Gauthier, and Fred Hechinger of Fear Street as Seth Warshavsky, an American pornographer and founder of the Internet Entertainment Group (IEG).

It features Lily James and Sebastian Stan in their roles as the iconic couple. we also see Seth Rogen and Nick Offerman as they portray the theft of the couple’s infamous sex tape. Pamela looks distressed about the leak of the tape as Tommy tries to shake off his fears.
The latest trailer to appear this year not only features the actors in their respective roles, but also gives a glimpse into the drama that took place after the sex tape was published.
The trailer includes footages of Rogen and Offerman as Rand Gauthier and Uncle Miltie, who later own the footage, and shows their efforts to profit from it by selling it online.
