When are we going to see All Out Season 2?
Sports anime is one of the rare gems in the anime and manga realm, but usually, it revolves around soccer and the other sports are being overshadowed by it. Finally, one by the name of Shiori Amase took a revolutionary step that could change the sports anime/manga industry forever. He made a manga series called All Out that talks about the story of Kenji Gion and Sumiaki Iwashimizu as they aim to be the championship of the national high school rugby championships.
The manga series All Out had been published in the Morning Two manga magazine from November 21, 2012, to November 22, 2019. Luckily, fans from outside Japan could already enjoy the manga series, as it was published digitally in English by Kodansha Comics USA from September 26, 2017, to December 8, 2020.
The manga series All Out was made into an anime adaptation that is produced by Madhouse (Alderamin On The Sky) and TMS Entertainment. Both of the studios already have an outstanding presence in the anime community, as they have made several popular anime titles, such as Death Note by Madhouse and Dr. Stone by TMS Entertainment.
All Out Season 2 Release Date
The first season of the anime series All Out was premiered on October 7, 2016, before finally concluding with 52 episodes on March 31, 2017. Although the anime has left us off with a satisfying ending, many of the fans still want to see Gion become a star player. So, when will All Out Season 2 be released?
As of now, we haven’t received any information from the author nor the studio regarding the release date of All Out Season 2. However, you can always keep track of the latest news on our website, so stay tuned!
Will All Out Season 2 be possible?
As the second season of All Out has not been announced yet five years after its first release, many of the fans are wondering whether All Out Season 2 will be possible or not. If we look at where the anime stands to the manga, the anime has covered the first 10 out of 17 volumes, which the remaining volume is not enough for a season renewal. It would be enough if they make it as one cour season, but it would just not be convenient and exciting for many of the fans.
The manga series had already come to an end, and considering that most anime is made in order to boost the sales of the source, it would not be possible for us to have All Out Season 2. Also, the anime was not that popular, to begin with, and it had lousy sales for its BD/DVD volumes.
All Out Action
Rugby is a sport where anybody can be a star when they hold the ball. The rules are simple: one player has to carry the ball past the goalposts across the field while avoiding the other team, who are allowed to use all their force to knock the enemy down. However, the player can pass to a teammate behind them or kick the ball before they are tackled. Unlike other sports, the game continues even when the person holding the ball is taken down.
Kenji Gion is a short but feisty high school freshman at Kanagawa High School. Right after the school’s opening ceremony, he meets the tall and timid Sumiaki Iwashimizu, and the two of them get an invitation to observe the rugby club.
When Gion watches the match, he realizes that even though big and tall guys have an advantage, there are positions for people of all shapes and sizes. Immediately convinced that he has found a sport he can excel at despite his short stature, he signs up, though Iwashimizu declines. Gion is unable to accept Iwashimizu’s excuses and drags him back into the sport. Their training becomes intense as they aim to become the champions of Hanazono, the national high school rugby championships.
