As part of a line-up presentation, the VoD provider Netflix announced today that the license for the anime adaptation of the “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure spin-off” Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan had been secured in spring 2021 will publish on demand worldwide.
The four-part OVA was directed by Toshiyuki Kato (“Captain Tsubasa 2018”) in the David Production studio. Shun’ichi Ishimoto and Kenta Mimuro were responsible for the character design, while the music was contributed by Yūgo Kanno (“JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind”).
The first episode was released in 2017 with the disc release of “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable”, while the second episode was released in July 2018 with the second manga volume. The two most recent episodes were shown in selected Japanese cinemas in December 2019.
“Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan” is a one-shot collection which depicts side stories to the manga series “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable”.

Rohan Kishibe accompanies Kyouka Izumi, a manga magazine editor, to a buy house at a village far off from civilization. They soon discover the village is home to a group of millionaires who had all mysteriously become rich at the age of 25. Rohan and Izumi enter one of the houses, only to realize that they are trapped by a mysterious power that won’t let them progress unless they follow specific rules lest they suffer the consequences.
