On the website of the anime adaptation of “Pretty Boy Detective Club” (Japanese: “Bishounen Tanteidan”), it was announced today that the series will be broadcast on Japanese television from 10 April 2021. Pretty Boy Detective Club Anime is Created at SHAFT
“Pretty Boy Detective Club” is directed by Akiyuki Simbo (Madoka Magica, March comes in like a lion, Monogatari Series, Nisekoi) in Studio SHAFT. Hiroki Yamamura (“Fate/Extra Last Encore”) acts as a character designer. Aniplex and Kodansha are also involved in the anime.
The film stars Ayumu Murase (Shouyou Hinata in “Haikyuu Season 5“) as Manabu Sotoin, Taito Ban (Xiao Ming in “Flavors of Youth”) as Nagahiro Sakaguchi, Toshiki Masuda as Michiru Fukuroi, Shougo Yano as Hya Ashikaga, and Gen Sato as Sosaku Yubiwa.
The original Light Novel was written by NisiOisins and has been on Japanese trade since October 2015 with illustrations by Kinako. The manga adaptation of Suzuka Oda is published in this country under the title “Attractive Detectives” by Egmont Manga.
Kodansha has been publishing Nisio isins Light Novel with illustrations by Kinako in Japanese stores since October 2015. A manga adaptation by Suzuka Oda has been published in “ARIA” magazine since April 2016 and currently comprises five volumes.
