The home network TNT has not yet announced the renewal for Shaq Life Season 3, as the previous season has just recently concluded its run on December 23, 2021. Despite that not a lot of people knows Shaq, the show has been performing incredibly well for a docuseries. Shaq has a massive fan-following due to his iconic career in NBA, so the show has always had a baked-in audience.
But, the show also did a great job of connecting with new audiences and fans it shows how Shaq himself has been adjusting to the pandemic life as a family and athlete that many of us can relate to. Well except the being athlete part.
The general manager for TNT, TBS, and truTV, Brett Weitz, stated something along similar lines around the time of the show’s initial release. Amidst the challenges that occurred, TNT wanted to promote uplifting content, which inspired Shaq to let viewers into his eventful life. Besides focusing on his work, family, and philanthropy, the show has also documented the low points of the NBA star’s life. By being as authentic as possible, Shaq aimed to make the world a little better each day and leave a legacy like no other.
With so much going on with our life and Shaq himself, he undoubtedly has more to share with his long time and new fans while being a massive commercial success for TNT. So, don’t expect the series to see the end of the career anytime soon. If it’s greenlit soon, we might see Shaq Life as early as mid-2022 or late 2023, as the first few months of 2022 will be focused on producing the documentary.
Who will be in Shaq Life Season 3?
Well since the show is about Shaquille O’Neal himself, obviously the cast of the serie is Shaquille O’Neal himself. An NBA legend who wants to make the best of his existing life will have his story continued to be narrated by Samuel L. Jackson.
Shaq’s son Myles O’Neal has also been featured in the show. Therefore, we expect the aforementioned cast members to return for season 3, provided the series gets the go-ahead for another round. Apart from them, other members of Shaq’s family might show up as well.
Similar to what has been observed earlier, Shaq’s celebrity friends, along with other professional acquaintances, could gear up to feature in the prospective third instalment. So far, we have seen Offset, Quavo, Snoop Dogg, Diplo, and several others make an appearance.
