After successful with its first and second movie, will there be The Croods 3? Well, people obviously want to see more of this pre-historic eccentric family.
Created by Kirk DeMicco and Chris Sanders, the Croods is a cave family with its leader Greg, who lives in a cave for years, set in a pre-historic era. His wife named Ugga, his first daughter named Eep, another kids named Thunk and Sandy, and a grandma called Gran. There is also this guy named Guy. Well.
In the first movie, we can see how the Croods is trying to survive by not doing anything new or go out at night. But Eep is so done living in a cave and a little rebel so she goes out at night, and meet Guy. Later, there is this earthquake that destroys the cave that the Croods have lived in for years, so they have to find a new place to live up in a mountain.
Together with Guy, the Croods start their journey to reach the mountain in order to find a new home, which is not easy.
The combination of family story, adventure, comedy, and a hint of romance, The Croods receives positive reviews. IMDB gives the first movie of The Croods 7.2 out of 10 scores.
Produced by DreamWorks Animation (Shrek), the first movie was released on March 22, 2013, while the sequel was out in November 2020. So will there be The Croods 3? If there is, when will The Croods 3 be released?

The Croods 2 Recap
But first, let’s see how they left things off in the previous move The Croods 2 or The Croods: A New Age.
Still searching for a new home, The Croods find a very beautiful place called The Eden. This place is occupied by a modern family called Bettermans, with the father named Phil, the mother Hope, and the daughter Dawn.
The Croods and Guy decided to stay there, but as the time goes by, Phil and Hope doesn’t like the Croods very much—because obviously, they are cavemen. At this point, Guy and Eep’s relationship is getting stronger they even want to live together and leave Eep’s family.
Instead, Phil and Hope want Guy to have relationship with their daughter Dawn. Long story short, they have to fight against a monkey monster and so the Croods and the Bettermans are working together and they start to like each other.
At the end of the movie, we can see that Guy and Eep are finally getting married. And they all live happily together.
The sequel receives praises as well, so many viewers definitely will be looking forward to The Croods 3.
The Croods 3: Release Date
And the good thing is, there is some news that there will be another sequel, The Croods 3. The rumor even said that the production is already underway. And if that is true, we can expect to see The Croods 3 in 2023.
Expected Plot
So what will happen in The Croods 3?
It is expected that we will see the story picks up from where it left off in the second season. Since Eep and Guy has been married at the end of the previous movie, we may see the third movie will focus on their relationship and focus on their new family—there is a chance that there will be an additional member of the family as well.
The Bettermans most likely will not appear in The Croods 3, while the Croods family will still be featured but will not have as much role as the previous movies.

As we all know, The Croods is full of famous and brilliant names in their list of voice cast. These names most likely will return in The Croods 3.
That includes Nicolas Cage as Grug Crood, Ryan Reynolds as Guy, Emma Stone as Eep Crood, Catherine Keener as Ugga Crood, Clark Duke as Thunk Crood, Peter Dinklage as Phil Betterman, Kelly Marie Tran as Dawn Betterman, Leslie Mann as Hope Betterman, Cloris Leachman as Gran, and Melissa Disney as Guy’s Mom.
