The Vampire obsession is still high among fans around the globe. And a possibility of the revival of The Originals Season 6 just adds further to the celebration. The story of the terrifying vampire family has duly ended in 2018. But fans can’t seem to have enough of the Mikaelson family. The Originals is an American fantasy, supernatural drama series (Striking Out, Northern Rescue) by The CW network. It was firs aired in 2013 and is actually a spin-off series of the popular Vampire Dairies. The story follows the menacing Klaus Mikaelson and his siblings as they find themselves in the middle of New Orleans among supernatural politics.
Who are ‘The Originals’?
Distributed by Warner Bros Television and created by Julie Plec, The Originals traces the story of 3 siblings, Klaus, Rebekah and Elijah as they return to the French Quarters in New Orleans after 1919. They had built the Quarters but had to to escape the death threats from their father Michael. The Mikaelson family now find Klaus’s protégée Marcel ruling over the quarters. Will they be able to reclaim their right and protect future generations?
Where will The Originals Season 6 Start from?
Season 5 has Klaus coming back to New Orleans for the final time to save his daughter Hope once and for all. Season 5 was the most emotional seasons in the entire series. Klaus is no longer the selfish vampire but is an endearing father. Sure, there are some dark episodes and the deaths of some very prominent characters. But the infamous Mikaelson siblings come together for a final showdown. And much to the shock of the audience, Klaus and Elijah stake each other to uphold the ‘always and forever’ motto in the final episode. With the two most important characters gone, it might be a tad bit difficult to make The Originals season 6 griping.

Will Season 6 Ever hit the Screens?
Unfortunately for fans worldwide, The Originals season 6 has been officially cancelled by The CW (Veronica Mars). The makers have no plans to resume season 6 of this power hungry vampire family series. Sadly, after the fourth season, rating for the show began to decline and critics described it as ‘predictable’. But all this could not stop the insane fandom of The Originals to grow. Hundreds of fans still binge watch the show which is now aired on Netflix (Bonding). But worry not because the The CW Network who had made The Originals have a lot of fantasy shows under their kitty including the current trending Charmed and few others.
Fan Reaction to Season Finale
The reason why the audience have been asking for The Originals season 6 is because there was no closure in the season 5 finale. Most fans were disappointed how the makers killed off Elijah and Klaus, shattering all hope for the Caroline Klaus character ship. Neither did the makers show Klaus and Elijah crossing over to the afterlife or Elijah re-uniting with his epic love Hayley.
Taking into consideration how the fans reacted to the season finale, the makers made another spin off of The Originals and The Vampire Dairies called the Legacies which revolves around the life of Hope Mikaelson, Klaus’s daughter. However, it could never match up to the fandom of The Originals. Guess that is a legacy hard to live up to!
