On the official Twitter account of “The Irregular at Magic High School” (jap.: “Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei”) it was announced today that a new anime production of the series is currently in the works. A first teaser can be found later in the article.
Anime Adapts Eighth LN band
So far, it is only known that the anime project will adapt the “Reminiscence” arc from the eighth volume of the original Light Novel. It is not yet clear in which format (series, film, OVA) this will happen. Studio Connect (“Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody”) is responsible for production. A start date and further details are currently also pending.
“The Irregular at Magic High School” has so far consisted of two seasons, each with 26 and 13 episodes, which were broadcast on Japanese television in 2014 and 2020. There is also a film that was released in Japan in spring 2017.
With “The Honor Student at Magic High School” an anime adaptation of a spin-off manga to the Light Novel by Tsutomu Satou is currently in the works. It is expected to be broadcast on Japanese television this year. However, the date is still unclear.

Action of the “Reminiscence” Arc:
If you look at Miyuki and Tatsuya now, it’s hard not to think of them as loving siblings. But that wasn’t always the case…
Three years ago, Miyuki always felt uncomfortable near her older brother. The rest of her family treated him like a lower servant, though he was the perfect guard to protect Miyuki while she led a normal middle school life. But what really bothered her was that he never showed any feelings or thoughts of his own.
But when the danger arises during a fateful trip to Okinawa, their relationship as brother and sister will change forever.
