Who is waiting for the Overly Cautious Hero season 2 release date?
Overly Cautious Hero is an anime based on the light novel series. It was published on the website of a Kadokawa publishing company called Kakuyomu. After Fujimi Shobo obtained a license for the light novel, it was finally published by Kadokawa Books. Meanwhile, the anime premiered in 2019. The series focuses on the new goddess Ristarte on a mission to save Geabrande’s world. She must defeat the Demon King, so she decides to summon a human hero. Seiya Ryuguin, the hero she called for her fear, is overly cautious of everything, including Ristarte herself. This anime follows the protagonists’ journey to defeat many enemies in the world they are assigned to. Before we talk about the possibility of Overly Cautious Hero season 2, let’s look back at the last time we see the protagonist.
When was the last time we saw the Overly Cautious Hero protagonist?
For those of you who forgot the ending of Overly Cautious Hero anime, let me remind you, in the last episode, it is revealed both Seiya and Ristarte is the reincarnation of their past self who was unable to defeat the demon king, thus killing their colleague on the adventure, because of this incident, Seiya Ryuguin, the hero, becomes overly cautious. Therefore affected the way Seiya treated his colleagues because he didn’t want that incident to happen again. We understand this reason in the final episode of the first season.
What is the Plot of Overly Cautious Hero Season 2?
The last time we saw our protagonists, they defeated the Demon King Geabrande and saved the S-ranked world where Seiya was summoned. Seiya, who gave her life to defeat the Demon King, was resurrected for the third time before being assigned a new world to save with Restart. To agree with the revelation that Seiya and Ristarta were once lovers in their previous lives, they are given a world, Ixforia, a planet that they are unable to save before.
However, according to the synopsis of the subsequent Overly Cautious Hero Light novel, this time will not be the same as before (via Cautious Hero Wiki). Seiya and Ristarte are now considered “SS” in terms of danger as they couldn’t save it in their previous incarnations. In addition, Seiya has been reclassed as the flute-playing bard. With new abilities in (sort of) a whole new world, Seiya’s battle to save Ixphoria will be unlike anything he’s seen before. But the two are not discouraged. All you need is a little attention and preparation to get the job done. Cautious Hero Season 2 will likely be the follow-up of the first season.
Overly Cautious Hero Season 2 Release Date?
As always, everyone wants a release date. And as for the anime, it’s not that simple. There hasn’t been an official report on why Season 2 of The Overly Cautious Hero hasn’t been confirmed, but the White Fox (Akame Ga Kill, Arifureta & The Devil is a Part-Timer) still has a plate full without it. After Overly Cautious Hero completed the first season, the studio continued to animate several other projects, including the second season of Goblin Slayer and Re: Zero.
But the studio (or the show’s distributor, for that matter) will at least know if the second season of Overly Cautious Hero is in development. Unfortunately, only time will tell if we will ever see the light of day again. In the meantime, fans can always jump into a manga or light novel to recollect the memories again. I am curious how’s the continuation of their story, especially with all-new power, and I can’t wait to see how Seiya and Ristarte interacted again. Hopefully, they won’t forget the funny banter between them because those are also the highlight of the anime.
