After two seasons became such a massive hit, will they continue with The Baby-Sitters Club season 3?
Premiered on July 3, 2020, on Netflix, The Baby-Sitters Club is an American comedy drama teenage TV show that is based on a series of novel with the same title by Ann M. Martin. There are 213 novels in its series between 1986 to 2000. After the first season was a huge success, the second season followed, released on October 11, 2021.
This TV show follows the story of a group of middle school-aged teenage girls in the fictional city named Stoneybrook, Connecticut, who start their own baby-sitting business, called Baby-Sitters Club. Since the original novel takes place in the older era, the TV show tries to modernize it to be more relevant to the current situation, but managed to maintain the spirit and the vibes of the novel.
The first season consists of 10 episodes, while the second season consists of eight episodes, and both of the seasons receive positive and outstanding responses from critics and its audiences. According to IMDB, the first season even was nominated for three Daytime Emmys and won the two of them.
The Baby-Sitters Club is very well-received, to the extent of some platforms give it an almost perfect score. IMDB gives this series 7.4 out of 10 scores, while Rotten Tomatoes, surprisingly, gives the show 100% critics’ review and 90% average audience score.
So, with that kind of positive feedbacks and high enthusiasm, as well as the fans who really cannot wait to see their next story, will the creators continue with The Baby-Sitters Club season 3?
Will There be The Baby-Sitters Club Season 3?
Well, sadly, up until now, Netflix (Tiny Pretty Things) has not confirmed whether or not there will be The Baby-Sitters Club season 3. The second season was just released several months ago, so it makes sense if they haven’t officially announced the next installment.
However, seeing how positive the responses are, and if the ratings and viewership are good, there is a high chance that they will continue with The Baby-Sitters Club season 3.
Looking at the bright prediction, fans should not be worried. And if The Baby-Sitters Club season 3 is confirmed anytime soon, we can expect to see it at the end of 2022 at the earliest or even in early 2023. Hopefully there will not be any delay in the production and we can hear any exciting news from Netflix soon.
The Baby-Sitters Club Season 3: Possible Plot
So, if they decided to continue the show, what possibly could happen in The Baby-Sitters Club season 3?
In the second season, we can see that Mimi—Claudia’s grandmother—passed away while she was sleeping. It has been such a loss not only for Claudia who is so close to her, but also for the rest of The Baby-Sitters Club members.
Kristy, meanwhile, also has to deal with her family issue, as her mother and her step-dad stop trying to get pregnant. At the end of the second season, Kristy’s biological father promised to come to the baby parade, only to cancel it in a last minute. Realizing how jerk their real father is, Watson is proposing to be their father by adopting them officially. Then they are hugging and start their baby parade, and that is a wrap.
Although the second season ends with a happy ending, there is still so much to explore in The Baby-Sitters Club season 3. In the next season, we can see how the baby-sitting business is going on, maybe there will be another hurdles and challenges. We can also see how Watson is becoming the official step-father for the kids, and maybe only after that, their biological father is willingly to come.
How about Stacy’s parents? Will they get a divorce? And will Dawn and Mary Anne’s parents get engaged or even married? We probably will get the answers as well as for other questions in The Baby-Sitters Club season 3.
