Army of the Dead is one of Zack Snyder’s successful projects on Netflix. Premiered on May 21, 2021, Army of The Dead comes up with another prequel, Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas.
Earlier this year, this franchise also came up with a prequel as well with the title Army of Thieves, released on October 29, 2021. However, not like the Army of the Dead which is a horror zombie thriller, Army of Thieves is more like an action crime movie.
Not only Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas, Zack Snyder has something else in store: another sequel with the title Planet of the Dead.
Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas is said will be entirely different, since this prequel will be in a form of anime series. It is reported will consist of six episodes.
This still will be executively produced by Zack Snyder and his wife Deborah Snyder, with Jay Oliva at the helm, while Shay Hatten will write the anime series.
Basically, Army of the Dead follows the story of a group of people—led by Scott Ward—who go into Las Vegas which has been controlled by some kind of zombie kingdom. The group wants to do a heist and needs to beat a horde of zombies in the process.

Although Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas has been highly anticipated, there hasn’t been any official statement regarding the release date.
After Army of Thieves was released back in October 2021, we can expect to see Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas next year, probably in the middle of 2022 at the earliest. Considering that it will be an anime series with 6 episodes, the production of this prequel will be so much different than the other movies in the franchise.
What Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas Will be About?
Netflix (The Ranch Season 9) has shared some clues regarding what Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas will be about. According to Netflix (To The Lake Season 2), the prequel will be about the initial fall of Las Vegas as they try to find out the cause of the zombie outbreak.
So basically, Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas will tell us the story of the early days of the zombie outbreak, and will give us the backstory of the main characters.
At the early of the outbreak, it will be told that Scott and his team will try to save people in Las Vegas from the zombie outbreak, before the government then decided to quarantine the city. It will be interesting to see more zombie shows as well as action in Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas, and that is why this anime series will be highly anticipated.

There are some familiar names that will appear in Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas, as some main characters from the previous title will return.
The voice cast will include Dave Bautista as Scott Ward, Ella Purnell as Scott’s daughter, Kate Ward, Tig Notaro as Marianne Peters, Ana de la Reguera as Maria Cruz, and Omari Hardwick as Vanderohe.
There will be some new actors and actresses as well, which will include Vanessa Hudgens, Ross Butler, Nolan North, Christian Slater, Ray Porter, Yetide Badaki, and Jena Malone.
