Anyway, since the excitement for this threequel is so high, here’s what we know so far about the most-awaited Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 Recap and Ending
But before we talk about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, let’s refresh our memory about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.
This second volume focuses on the self-made planet by Peter’s father, Ego. Ego said that together with Peter, both of them will be able to conquer all the galaxy, just like what Ego has been doing.
Ego has been searching for Peter for so long, and so glad that he can finally meet him. But in order to take over the entire universe, he needs Peter’s power.
But then it was revealed that Ego is the villain of the movie, since he doesn’t have a good intention. Therefore, Gamora, Drax, Mantis, Rocket, and the others try to safe Peter.
At the end of the movie, with the help of Rocket, Groot, Yondu, and the stolen Sovereign batteries, they succeed in destroying Ego’s planet to the core. Peter is still on the planet when it explodes, but he is saved by Yondu, and Yondu sacrifices himself to save Peter.
Peter sees Yondu as his true father, since Yondu has taken care of Peter since he was a child. So he makes the funeral for Yondu.
At the end of the movie, it is shown that Ayesha—who is very upset—builds a creature called Adam, in order to help her destroy the Guardians of the Galaxy.
When will Guardian of the Galaxy Vol 3 be Released?

The filming is scheduled to start on November this year, according to Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista. The shooting is estimated will take at least six months in Atlanta.
However, in order not to make the fans waiting too long, James Gunn explained that the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will be aired in December 2022 on Disney+, and the shooting will be done at the same time as the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.
Who will Return in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3?

Although Gamora is dead in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, she will still appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, and Zoe Saldana admitted that she wants to exlplore the bad side of Gamora.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3: The Plot
The details of the plot of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is under development for now, but James Gunn has promised that there will be an epic conclusion.
Dave Bautista, the cast for Drax, said that the next movie will be the last of Drax. We cannot know for sure whether Drax will be played by other actor, or there won’t be Drax anymore in the next movies, since Gunn only want Drax to be played by Bautista.
Also, it can be expected that we will see more of Rocket and even his backstory in the third movie.
Furthermore, after ‘Endgame’, the third movie can also focus on finding Gamora, since she disappeared after battling with Thanos.
At the end of Vol 2, we can see that Ayesha builds a creature called Adam Warlock. There is still possibility that Adam will appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, to help Ayesha to fight the Guardians of the Galaxy.
However, all of these are still speculations. To know more, we just have to wait for another hint from the crew, when Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is aired, or when the trailer of the Vol 3 is out.
Until then, let’s sit back and rewatch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 and 2 on Disney+.
