Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train which released on 16 October 2020 opening weekend revenue smashes Japan box office record. Which was held by the second entry of the Matrix franchise which held first place for 17 years, earned $18,8 million in its opening week. Now it has been broken by estimated revenue of exceeds $33 million which is predicted by Early JP Box Office Estimates.
Movie Smashes Japan Box Office Record
Kimetsu no Yaiba movie revenue is higher than premiers of movies like Harry Potter and Star Wars in Japanese cinemas. With such a successful opening weekend, the second season must be made by Ufotable.
The film, which is a direct sequel to the 2019 anime series, is directed by Haruo Sotozaki, produced by Ufotable. It tells the story of the main characters investigating a mysterious series of disappearances occurring inside a train. They will be accompanying the Flame Hashira. Little do they know that Enmu, one of the Twelve Kizuki, is also on board and has prepared a trap for them.
