Despite being an underdog, The World is Still Beautiful certainly has so much to offer from what can be seen on the surface.
The World is Still Beautiful began life as a one-shot written and illustrated by Dai Shiina in Hakusensha’s shōjo manga magazine Hana to Yume in 2009, with a second one-shot published in 2011. It was later serialized in the same magazine from 2012 to 2020. The manga series ran for twenty-five volumes before concluding on May 20, 2020.

The manga series was later adapted into an anime series by Studio Pierrot, the studio that has a good reputation in the community for its popular anime releases such as Tokyo Ghoul, Naruto, Bleach, and Black Clover. Although they usually produce shounen shows, Studio Pierrot surely doesn’t hold back when it comes to shoujo either.
The anime adaptation was first premiered on April 6, 2014, and ran for twelve episodes before concluding on June 29 of the same year. The show has received a glaring number of love and praises. It has managed to score 7.63 on MyAnimeList, which is quite good for what it has to offer. The anime has also gained a lot of positive reviews on the same platform.

However, those outside the Sun Kingdom have spread a rumor that Livius is a cruel, ruthless, and tyrannical ruler, and as word reaches the princess, she begins to prepare herself for the worst. But when she finally meets her fiancé, Nike discovers that he is an entirely different person from what she originally expected.
