Despite having such an outstanding presence in the anime realm, it is safe to say that Akudama Drive might not receive a season renewal even though it has not been officially stated yet. The reason is that the first season had a pretty conclusive ending. With all of the characters being dead, there is simply no way to continue the story. Actually, there is a way for Pierrot to make Akudama Drive Season 2, and that is by introducing us to a new cast. The brother and sister plot would most likely be what is continued, but it would be pretty hard to pull, given the open ending that we got.
